Resident Committee Representatives (2008-2009) TBD
Resident Representatives to Hospital Committees
If you are interested in serving on a particular committee, please nominate yourself. You can also nominate other residents whom you feel may be good candidates. You can nominate yourself or someone else for more than one committee. If you are interested in submitting a name, please contact Ann Ronayne in the GME Office at 792-8681 or email at . The deadline for all nominations is noon, July 24, 2008.
Before nominating yourself or others to a committee, please realize there is a time commitment involved. According to Article III, paragraph 8 of your Resident Agreement:
"... The Resident agrees to participate in any institutional committees or councils to which the Resident is appointed, assigned, or selected."
If elected to a committee, you must attend that committee meeting and the Resident Representatives Meeting (which is held the 3rd Wednesday of the month at noon or 6:00 a.m.). If you are unable to attend, you must ask one of the alternates to your committee(s) to attend in your place. The Resident Representative meeting is as important as your actual committee meeting—it is a chance to report to other residents what issues your committee is dealing with and to take issues that concern residents back to your respective committees.
Descriptions of all committees with resident representation (including the time commitment) can be found at the bottom of this page.
